David Walker Gun Club was founded in 2022 by a group of individuals dedicated to lawful gun
ownership, personal protection, safety, and education. Based in Dallas, TX we host Range Days,
Virtual Education Events, and Social Events throughout the year. We are passionate about
creating a positive learning environment with and for like-minded people.

President

Hasan Haqq "Glock Head" aka Irregular Soul

Motto: When in doubt, just go with a Glock"

Q. Hasan Haqq, M.Ed. is the lead instructor of Irregular Soul Tactical, LLC. He has over 20 years of teaching experience on the secondary level, grades 9-12. He has taught adult court mandated Anger Management, Theft Intervention, and Texas Drug Offenders Program classes. He is a Blackbelt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has studied various martial arts for 22 years. Also, he has instructed Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Self-Defense classes for over 15 years.

He was introduced to firearms and responsible gun ownership as an adolescent where he developed an appreciation for firearms for self-defense and recreation. He is a United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) Certified Instructor, USCCA Range Safety Officer, and President of the David Walker Gun Club, NAAGA South Dallas Chapter.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History, with a Pre-Law minor from Bowie State University in Bowie, MD, and minored in Pre-Law. He received his Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University Commerce. Mr. Haqq is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Alpha Sigma Lambda Chapter located in Dallas, Texas.

Ryan Smith "Gucci Gun Guy"

Motto: Buy once, Cry once.

Ryan is a two-time graduate of Rice University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Master
of Business Administration degree. While in undergraduate, he was a member of the Rice
University football team. His expertise and precision on the football field easily translates to his approach to learning and teaching firearm instruction.

Ryan’s passion for firearms instruction comes from a gap he noticed in his community. He
noticed few people of color as instructors and the growing number of gun owners who were reluctant to work on proficiency. Ryan loves a challenge and decided to dedicate his time and energy to become a certified instructor by the United States Concealed Carry Association.

Ryan is dedicated to excellence and knows the importance of proper practice. He spends hours at the range each month.

Aaliyah Haqq

Motto: Guns, try them like shoes, til you find one that fits.

Aaliyah is a novice gun owner and shooter with a passion for learning about lawful, gun ownership and personal protection. The summer of 2020 awakened a heightened awareness in Aaliyah to security and the need to insure one is conscious of potential threats.

A Girl Scout to her core, she believes in being prepared to respond to any scenario. In her role as a Range Safety Officer, she helps create a safe space for all.

Aaliyah's ability to manage multiple tasks, create consensus, and drive innovation serves her well as the club manager for the David Walker Gun Club.
